What is your opinion on Merrill Lynch 401 K is it reliable, and do you recommend this company?

To be honest, I don't have anything to compare Merrill's 401K plan to, but I don't see why it isn't reliable, considering that it is not a pension plan and employees assume full risk of investments. In other words, it's up to you to make gains or losses, unless you just want your money to sit there. Merrill is one of the few ultra-bulge-bracket investment banks on the Street, together with Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, etc. I highly recommend the firm but I say interview with a few and shop around.
