Equity market is finally rebounding after companies such as Texas Instruments announced higher earning forcasts in the U.S. Word on the european market is that “It’s a technical rebound…There may be more declines this year…” (Guenter Faschang, Vontobel Asset Management) and word on the asian market is that “For the longer-term investors, it’s an opportunity to buy…Economic growth remains stable…” (Yoji Takeda, RBC Investment (Asia) Ltd). Central Banks (Bernanke, U.S. Fed, Jean-Claude Trichet, European Central Bank President, etc.) may keep raising rates to contain inflation, despite the fact that markets have been sliding downward.

U.S. Stocks are falling for the 4th day. S&P 500 just erased gain for the year. All equity markets around the world are moving downward, especially Asia, where Chinese shares are exhibing largest price drops in 2 years. In other news, the dollar climbed versus 14 of the 16 most-actively traded currencies tracked by Bloomberg as investors sought a safe haven from sliding stocks. My outlook? It’s not going to stop anytime soon as the U.S. Fed has committed to fight against inflation. But then again, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of confidence in Bernanke’s strategies and actions. I personally would stay away from the equity market and look into short-term debt and currency securities.

“You will like some of the people you work with and dislike others. Set all that aside and forge alliances slowly. It is wisest to be loyal to effective, honorable people who get great things done – even if you don’t feel personal affection for them.”
